Description

Despite historic conceptions of learning disabilities, current research raises questions about how specific they truly are. Learning disabilities in reading, writing, and math are highly comorbid with one another and with other neurodevelopmental disorders.

This overlap can be explained by shared risk factors including genes, environments, brain changes, and cognitive correlates.

This presentation will focus on identifying shared and unique cognitive predictors of different learning disabilities, as well as clinical implications for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
